With decades of combined experience in the arts, culture, media, and education, the team produces dynamic performances, workshops, and collaborations that connect communities and keep Caribbean traditions alive across generations.

Executive Director Colin Smith is a celebrated cultural ambassador, visual artist, and musician whose decades-long work has been central to preserving Jamaican heritage and has earned him international acclaim.
He is the founder of the Tallawah Mento Band, Director of the Jamaican Folk Revue, a foundation member of the Jamaican Folk Singers, and a past president and active member of Louise Bennett-Coverley Heritage Council (LBCHC).
Colin has produced and performed in numerous cultural events and led lectures and workshops on music, history, and storytelling, educating and enriching communities across Jamaica, the United States, Central America, and beyond.
A trained visual artist and past student of the Jamaica School of Art (now the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts), his vibrant paintings have been exhibited internationally and are held in many private collections.
In 2022, he was awarded the Badge of Honour for Meritorious Service by the Jamaican Government for his outstanding contribution to preserving Jamaica’s traditional folk culture and indigenous music.
His recent works include presenting the folkloric concert Evenin’ Time in South Florida and at the Pan African Historical Theatre Festival (PANAFEST) in Accra, Ghana, under the auspices of the African Union and the Government of Ghana. In 2025, Colin was recognized with the People Profile Innovator Award for his cultural impact in South Florida.
Curtis Myrie is an accomplished journalist, marketer, poet, and author with over 50 years of experience in media and production.
As a broadcaster and television producer, he has produced numerous documentaries including Strides of Gold, a profile of distinguished Olympian Veronica Campbell, and the Jamaica Transformation in Education Programme. He earned the Caribbean Broadcasting Merit Award for Excellence for his documentary on Jamaica’s 1998 Reggae Boyz World Cup football campaign.
Beyond broadcasting, Curtis has led national marketing initiatives such as the public education
programme of Jamaica’s Housing and Population Census. He is a published author of poetry and recently published a collection of poems entitled Staring Into My Soul.
As a member of the Jamaica Poets Nomadic College and School Tour, Managing Director of Ideal Promotions and Gallery House Productions, he continues to shape Caribbean storytelling across literary and media platforms.
Micheal Forrest is a multifaceted theatre artist, dramatist, educator, and broadcaster with extensive experience across stage, radio, and television. He has worked in a wide range of roles, from artistic management to directing, producing, and facilitating drama workshops, contributing to the development of theatre and media in the Caribbean.
His expertise has led to the development of courses accredited by the University Council of the West Indies, reflecting his commitment to arts education and training.
Micheal served as casting director, co-producer, and actor in the feature film Romeo N Juliet 4 Eva (2018), released both in London, UK (2024) and Jamaica (2025). The film was nominated for Best Diaspora Narrative Feature at the 2025 African Movie Academy Awards.
Currently, Micheal teaches “Introduction to Electronic Broadcasting” to associate degree students at EXED Community College’s School of Performing Arts, continuing to bridge creative practice and education and supporting the next generation of storytellers and performing arts professionals.
